Server 2012 R2 Core as a script host server

I'm running in to a bit of a problem: I've set up a server with 2012 R2 Core, installed file services to set up some basic shares, and dropped some scripts on it to be run on a schedule. I set up the task to run through Task Scheduler remotely, but every time it runs, nothing happens. It completes in a couple of seconds with no errors, but nothing happens. The script, by the way, should take over an hour to run, and at the very least should output a basic log file showing what time it started and what time it ended; but none of that happens.

I can remote on to the machine and run it manually, and it works. The exact same scheduled task runs fine on my Windows 7 VM that I was using to test the scripts out. Is there something special I need to do to make this work on 2012 R2 Core? Does it have to be in a particular place in scheduled...
