As I've not much experience with assessing networks, I'm hoping I can get some good ideas from you all as to how to go about it. We're a NFP Housing Authority on a shoestring budget. We have a Dell PE 840 (2000 functional level) running 2003 R2 x86 that has roles of PDC, print, file and dns. A Dell PE T300 running 2003 R2 x64 (also 2000 functional level) that has roles of DC, print, file, and application. I think SQL server 2005 is also on the T300. I haven't dug in much further than that. So, I know the T300 may still allow me to use it as a 2012 back up DC, but will need to get a new server to act as primary. We have around 35 users and the current state of the network is great. No complaints from users, nor I myself. If you all could point me to some good guides, references or pointers on how to go about this, I'd really appreciate...
