So I've had this question before, but now I want to get more suggestions on this.
Scenario : 4 in house dedicated servers (exchange, AD/DC/FS, Timberline (sage 300), VPN/remote access). We are downsizing and relocating to a smaller office.
My current suggestion...
1. Utilize Rackspace for (1) dedicated server and Hyper-V the timberline, AD/DC, and create a site to site VPN through Rackspace
2. Utilize MS OFfice 365 for the exchange (25 mailboxes)
3. Might even source timberline with another vendor that specialize in cloud timberline hosting..
SO my objective here is to have the least cost available per month/annually to be able to retain the server functionality we currenty have in-house. I would still like to have a Active Directory, file server.. My train of thought is set up the site to site vpn to Rackspace and have a dedicated server and run multiple Hyper-V instance on this server to replicate the dedicated in-house we currently have now.
Thoughts or suggestions?
