I have a folder in a mapped network drive. When I look at the effective permissions on the sever upon which the folder is stored the effective permissions are how I would expect them to be (User 1 has no access) but when looking on a client where the drive is mapped the effective permissions think that User 1 has full access.
Root Folder
|- Folder One
|- Folder Two
- - | - Folder two sub-folder
|- Folder Three
The permissions are set so that User 1 is a member of a security group that has 'Full Control' over the root folder but inheritance is turned off on Folder Two and separate security groups have been added at this level but User 1 defiantly isn't a member.
While I'm happy that User 1 doesn't have access when they try and browse the contents of Folder Two can anyone explain this?
