Hi Guys,
This is being bugging me soo much recently. We have a Dell R210 that is used as a Licencing server for our network Licences, Backups (using Backup Exec 2010 R3) and of-course Spiceworks.
The server seem to randomly stop responding completely. The server responds to ping but everything else stops. Spiceworks, all licences software, Backupexec etc. all stops responding. I tried to plug in a keyboard and mouse and a monitor to see whats happening but that effort was fruitless.
I then checked the logs in the iDRac and there isn't anything that struck me as being abnormal going on there. The only option I had was to do a cold reboot and the server is back online.
I then went on to Event Viewer -> Windows Logs and checked there but there is also nothing there. After a quick Google I came across KB article 2265716, but when I tried applying that to system, it says that its no applicable to my system.
I am still learning about Server management. Any help will be appreciated.
