I'm sure this is a very simple question, but something I don't know the exact answer to. Yesterday we stopped receiving email externaly, and after a quick check I found the C drive had dipped below 3GB. I was able to free up a little over 5GB by moving some uncessary files and deleting temp files. Now today I found that it pretty much ate up that 5GB of space, and is sitting just above 3GB.
I've been sifting through trying to figure out what ate 5GB overnight and so far I can't seem to find any files or folders. I did notice the pagefile is a little over 8GB, which to me seems a little excessive, but that's a different discussion. My question is, would the pagefile grow b/c there was now additional disk space available? Is there some rule where it will only take up a certain % of disk space?
For some additional info, this server is a VM running on Hyper-V, and it's our Exchange 2010 server.
