I have a physical server with Server 2012 and four NICs running our LOB accounting software (server version of the software). Only one NIC is currently in use on this server (others are disabled). The client side of the software connects to the server via hostname, i.e. the client software connects to the server by seeing the hostname "SERVER1", not by IP.
As the number of workstations hitting this server is increasing, I'd like to make more NICs available for client connections. If I enable all four NICs on this server, will Server 2012 distribute client connections across all NICs more or less evenly?
TIA.
