Hello All.
I'm trying to figure out what to charge for a migration project
- Windows 2008 R2 server x 3 into Windows 2012 R2 Hyper-v - production live, that means nights or weekend job.
steps:
1. move Vm off the server - export for a backup
2. upgrade to windows 2012 R2 - add Nic, team NIC
3. Power on VM, update integrate services
4. Valid all VM still working, no issue (VMs - AD, Exchange 2010, Firewalls), 12 all together
After all done, create replica VM to support failver *(manually)
Test Replica and Extended replica.
Planning - ( gather hardware info, Network info, prepare services pack etc)
Migrating each server - 1 days, but moving the data take a long time about 4 to 5 hrs each, because on a 1GB network, (exchange example: 600GB database size)
Replica - storage, create, testing.
Here is my estimated to bill
Planning - 3 days
Migration - 3 x server ( 4 - 6 days)
Replica - 2 days
I currently charge around $90 in NYC, is that reasonable?
Thank you all for your input.
