folder redirection

I am working on folder redirection on the workstations in the office.   On the AD server I created a group policy for a security group that has folder redirection for documents, favourties, Desktop to \\fileserver2\HomeDir$\%username%\

and I map drive z: to \\fileserver2\HomeDir$\%username%

the folder redirection is working fine.  one of the users opened a mail merge file that had the database pointed to c:\documents and settings\%username%\My Documents\filename.mdb

this stopped working.  Eventhough it is a windows 7 workstation and doesn't have c:\documents and settings.  I think windows has a hidden link to it.

any idea on how to fix this.  otherwise the user will have to fix every file with a mailmerge.
