Hi Everyone,
I've got an old HPProliant ml310e gen8 v2 server running Windows Server 2012 R2 (fully updated) and three to four workstations connected to it on a local domain network.
It seems that the server will randomly lose internet connection for no apparent reason, however can be resolved quickly by switching the ethernet cable to the spare port (two physical ports total in rear of machine, one cable being used) and then bridging the two ethernet ports in Network Adapters. This brings the internet back online and then I can delete the bridge and the internet remains on the physically connected port. Is that weird or just me??
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions that would be brilliant.
Firmware? Run two ethernet cables to the switch all the time? (should probably have tried that already..) Anything else?
