So, I have Googled it to death, and even went through a lot of this same issue in Spiceworks, but have not found the answer I am looking for.
In our 2008 R2 RDP environment, if we select the "use all of my monitors for the remote session" option, when you try to remote control that session, you will get an "access is denied" message.
From what I have read, this is by design, as Windows 7 Pro does not support this. So, I went and got 10 new Windows 7 Ultimate PC's, and guess what? Same issue.
I am not wanting to use the "span" command, as that is different.
I also was not wanting to use third party tools, such as Dameware, UltraVNC, or the likes of Teamviewer. I just want to be able to use the Remote Desktop Services Manager console to support my clients.
We do currently use SplitView for our W Pro boxes, using the span monitors i:1 in the config, so, I am familiar with that product.
We have software that Adobe prints out goofy if we use the span command, and that problem goes away if we use the "multimon" feature. However, we lose the ability to do the Remote Control when we turn that on.
I really thought that W7 Ultimate would be the answer, and, it did not do me any good.
Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
