Robocopy - Transfer data but files get hidden

I use XXCOPY a lot for transferring files from a computer to an external drive. I gave ROBOCOPY shot using the following:

ROBOCOPY /mir /w:3 /r:2 

I can see that data is being copied over but once the process is complete and go to check what was copied over all the files are hidden...I can't seem to figure out why that is and only happens when I use robocopy. Naturally I end up reverting back to XXCOPY and I am thinking I might be using switches incorrectly. Any thoughts friends?
