Windows 2008 R2 - issue logging off

Hi,

We have a virtual hyper v windows 2008 r2 box with remote users logged onto it.

When some users log off all they get is the blue desktop screen and as administrator when I log off I get the same.

I looked under event viewer and performance diagnostics and with windows 7 you used to be able to tell how long it took for an application shutdown but this isnt available on our windows 2008 r 2 server.

Do you know how I can access this information or how to troubleshoot this issue please. Im currently doing a virus check and malware check.
