Alright I am back with an odd and very frustrating issue. Once again google has been less than helpful (maybe I am just really, really, really bad at google, but I digress..)
Starting yesterday (after making no configuration changes whatsoever) all the machines on one of our domains lost the ability to connect to our company's website. It is externally hosted with businesscatalyst. The affected machines are all part of our windows server 2012 essentials domain. The server also cannot connect to the website. Our other server, and machines joined to its domain can connect to the site just fine. When I attempt to ping or nslookup the website, I get an error that the domain does not exist. When I try to connect to it with explorer, it just does a bing search. For some reason, it does not want to believe that our website's domain exists!
I assure you it does.
I have been reading around, and most of the suggestions I have seen say that it could be an issue with the router, but that makes no sense, since everything in the building goes through said router, and they connect fine. I have tried disabling the firewall on the server, but that changes nothing. I have tried getting to the site through google, and google finds it, but the server insists it is all a mirage, and the website does not exist.
I have no idea what to do right now, so any suggestions on where to start would be greatly appreciated.
