I need to rename a network folder that many folks access via desktop shortcuts to said folder. Without having to write a script or other weirdness, is there a way to change the folder name without breaking the shortcuts on folks' desktops? This is a subfolder under a mapped network drive or I would just change the folder name and add the "old" name as a shared name. The folder sits on a 2003 Server.
I honestly am unaware of any easy way to do this without breaking links. That's why I am turning to the smart folks here.
