My company has been looking to move off of Windows XP for what seems like forever. We finally developed a plan, and now in the last two days the owner has discovered thin clients.
We are a 100 user company, with around 65 pc's in the manufacturing industry. Completely outdated currently and needing all new hardware and licensing for Office and such. Every user has a multifunction printer/scanner at their desks. As well as some stations with barcode scanners and label printers.
Some of the server hardware and licensing for servers has already been purchased and setup. Does VDI or Terminal Services make sense in an area like this for users? Is it even cost effective?
