Hi,
Last week I built the company I work for a new Windows Serve 2012 system, new domain, etc (was server 2003).
We use RDS for staff to connect to RDS session hosts from XPEmbedded dumb terminals .
I have an server with RDS connection broker, and licensing installed.
I then have 5 x RDS session host servers. on each of these servers including the RDS connection broker I have created a server pool called 'RDS' and added all the servers which are part of the RDS set up to each server RDS pool. I've also pointed each session host to the RDS licensing server using local gpo. RDS licensing diagnoser shows no problems at all, and CALs are being issued. License server activated etc.
Each server has Remote Deskotp enabled for all users, no firewall, and no requirement for network level authentication.
on Friday staff became unable to remote desktop to one of my Remote Desktop session hosts from the xp embedded dumb terminals :
"Because of a security error, the client could not connect to the remote computer. Verify that you are logged onto the network and then try connecting again".
The only thing i had changed on the server that day was remove Kaspersky as we suspected it to be behind some other issues we were having.
Today I have come in, and modified local GPO on each RDS session host to point licensing to the RDS licensing server. Since then one more of my 5 RDS session hosts is now producing the same error
I'm also getting an issue where RDS session hosts randomly drop out of the custom pool I created called RDS on each server. I add it back in fine, but without adding it back in I am unable to open Remote Desktop services from server manager. they just seem to intermittenly drop out.
Any help on any of these issues will be greatly appreciated, as I'm running round in circles now.
