Cloning a production box so that I have a dev version. There's nothing on the box except Win Server 2008R2, NewRelic Server Monitor, and what's basically a .NET 2.0 re-invention of cron (it triggers various tasks throughout the day, mostly running queries against SQL Server on another production box). The clone VM is off, and I've removed the vNIC. The cron-clone service is disabled.
What do I need to do to make sure that the clone doesn't cause issues when I re-attach the NIC and bring it online? I assume I need to change the hostname and IP of course. What else?
These boxen are hosted on ESXi 5, if that matters.
