I'm having a bizarre issue with my Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V (Core) Server with existing VMs. When managing the server remotely (Windows 8.1 Pro client on the same domain, runas w/ Domain Admin user), I am able to connect to the Hyper-V Manager and view/change all settings, but when I go to create a new VHD (Gen 2) it gets stuck on the "Creating the new virtual hard disk" screen, it does not continue. RDPing into the server, I see the VHD is created but it doesn't actually become accessible. I have tried with fixed size and dynamic.
On the Win 8.1 system, I have tried uninstalling the server admin tools and reinstalling, no change. I've also tried logging on directly with the Admin account and no change as well. This seems to be the only thing not working, I'm able to access all other servers via the remote Server Manager.
