dfs replication not working

Hi,

DFS Replication keeps shutting down on the source server; but i cannot seem to find out why? I get the following error in the event log;

The DFS Replication service encountered an error communicating with partner for replication group FSPS Servers.

Partner DNS address:

Partner WINS Address:
Partner IP Address:

The service will retry the connection periodically.

We have 5 servers configured in our replication group. The server in question is windows 2008 sp 2 with all the latest updates. I have yet to run any DFS related hotfixes yet as i can't see one that fits the problem i have. The other servers in our topology run windows 2008 r2 sp1 with all the latest updates plus the enterprise rollup hotfix. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
