Running CHKDSK on remote server

Got a Server (2003 small business) that's at a remote site where the staff are off until the new year and I need to solve why there backups have been failing more than getting good backups (currently only 1 in 7 are good)

Server 2003 Small business fully windows updated

Backup Exec 12.5 upto date (for version 12.5)

In event logs for both Backup Exec and Windows I can see a few VSS errors and other errors that I've been working through and have nearly got rid of all errors and warning in the event viewer.

The last one looking at forums and Q&A for Symantec suggest now running a CHKDSK. If it was one here I would just boot off a CD and run from CMD prompt in console and reboot once done and I've seen the results. But this is a remote server that 200+miles away.

What's the best option to run chkdsk and see the results and reboot the server once done so I can continue checking things.
