Migrated File Server Now Causing Logon Issues

Hi,

I have successfully upgraded our Server 2003 file server over to a new Server 2008 R2 machine. I did it via the following method.

1. Transferred the data from one server to another via tape with backupexec 2012

2. Exported shares registry key from 2k3 server and imported onto the 2k8R2, then restarted

3. Changed 2-3 user profile directories to point to the new server

We still have the original 2k3 server in operation as the move wasn't 100% successful, which is what I'm hoping someone in the community can help me with :-)

In my test user account profile I've pointed the following directories as:

Profile Path: \\2k8r2-fs\profiles$\%username%

Logon Script: defaultlogon.vbs

Connect H:\ to \\2k8r2-fs\home$\staff\%username%

Now with those settings above, I get folder redirection problems and a logon error message such as what I've attached to this post, however when I point the directories to:

Profile Path: \\2k3-fs\profiles$\%username%

Logon Script: defaultlogon.vbs

Connect H:\ to \\2k3-fs\home$\staff\%username%

Everything works wonders

Really hoping someone can shed some light on this, thanks in advance
