I'm currently trying to resolve a licensing issue with Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard edition. Supposedly, the version we purchased included 5 CALs. When I received the software, I couldn't find any licensing numbers for the CALs; only a generic card that said I should keep the card for my records. Now the grace period is up and I can't RDP into the server.
Someone told me that the CALs work on the "honor system" but I've still been unable to locate or install them.
The only thing I can find is the included TS per device CALs but I don't think these CALs allow RDP.
Can anyone help me get this cleared up?
