Demoting a DC (I've read the similar questions)

OK , We have an old 2003 DC we are no longer using and want to demote it as a DC , Install server 2012 as a Hypervisor to use as a failover to our new Hypervisor server.

Our setup (3 domain controllers)

EX01 Srv. 2003 ( we had this shut down for a week to identify any residual apps that may have been used on it, turned it on last week and replication took place)

FS01 Srv. 2008

-DC- Srv 2008R2 ( Virtual machine on the new Hypervisor)

-Backupsrv Srv. 2003 ( this one will be removed soon as well)

On the old EX01 2003 DC which we want to demote

- We have Determined that this is a global catalog, but so is the FS01 and DC (so this should be no concern in demoting the ex01)

- All of the Operation master Roles are on the FS01 2008 DC: (so this shouldn't be a concern, I know that the roles should be split amongst 2 servers, just haven't gotten there yet )

- It's far from the being last DC (again no concern)

- The Problem I'm encountering is determining the application Directory partitions portion.

the List NC replicas

list nc replicas DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=icmhg,DC=org

Returns:

The application directory partition DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=icmhg,DC=org's Replicas
are:
CN=NTDS Settings,CN=ICMHG-DC,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=icmhg,DC=org * ( this looks fine)
CN=NTDS Settings,CN=IMHGFS01,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=icmhg,DC=org *( this looks fine)
CN=NTDS Settings,CN=IMHGEX01,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=icmhg,DC=org * ( this is my concern)
CN=NTDS Settings,CN=BACKUPSRV,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=icmhg,DC=org * ( this looks fine)
NOTE: Couldn't verify the instantiated/uninstantiated state of these replicas.
domain management:

list nc replicas DC=ForestDnsZones,DC=icmhg,DC=org

Returns: what appears to be the same exact values:

The application directory partition DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=icmhg,DC=org's Replicas
are:
CN=NTDS Settings,CN=DC,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=icmhg,DC=org * ( this looks fine)
CN=NTDS Settings,CN=FS01,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=icmhg,DC=org *( this looks fine)
CN=NTDS Settings,CN=EX01,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=icmhg,DC=org * ( this is my concern)
CN=NTDS Settings,CN=BACKUPSRV,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=icmhg,DC=org * ( this looks fine)
NOTE: Couldn't verify the instantiated/uninstantiated state of these replicas.
domain management:

So it looks to me like there is an application partition that needs to be removed, my questions is what will this affect on any of the other domain controllers? Sorry if this doesn't make sense Or I'm just blowing this up past what it needs to be.

The line of concern to me above is :

CN=NTDS Settings,CN=EX01,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=icmhg,DC=org *

Thoughts , concerns suggestions? Can I simply run "remove nc replica ApplicationDirectoryPartition DomainController" as per http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc778798(v=ws.10).aspx ?
