Single User logged off instantly, corrupt ntuser.dat

So one of my clients has a terminal server running Microsoft Server 2003, and hosted by RackSpace, which user access via RDP.

Only one user out of their entire organization has this problem: As soon as Windows logs her on, Windows immediately logs her off! Deleting her profile has no effect on this, nor does rebooting the server.

I've verified that an error is produced in the event viewer from source "Kernel General". The error is as follows: {Registry Hive Recovered} Registry hive (file): '\??\C:\Users\[REDACTED]\ntuser.dat' was corrupted and it has been recovered. Some data might have been lost.

I've also verified that the "Shell" and "Userinit" keys are correct in the registry, and have rebooted after that.

For now, the user has been set up with a temporary user account, so that she can continue to do her work. This appears to be a sufficient solution, but I'd still like to know the cause, as I'm afraid that this may be a symptom of something else.

On a possibly un-related note, an anti-virus scan located and quarantined a file in another user's profile (zbot). Not sure if this has anything to do with it.

Thanks in advance for any advice offered.
